Veiga, por su parte, ha explicado que “este año es muy especial porque no habíamos recaudado esta cantidad desde el año 2011 y estamos muy satisfechos por un doble motivo, porque contribuye a mejorar la situación de los colectivos más vulnerables y porque es un síntoma claro de que la ciudad está recuperándose como destino turístico después de la pandemia”. Ha recordado que las fichas huérfanas “son aquellas que los jugadores pierden y se quedan en la sala abandonadas. Nosotros las recogemos, las cambiamos a su valor económico real y entregamos el cheque al Ayuntamiento con fines sociales”.
